Project Description
Counting hundreds of systems to explore, thousands of missions, and a plethora of ships, officers and buildings, Star Trek Fleet Command is a Free To Play mobile experience like no other. Grow your power, fight hostiles in space or other players to progress, and help your alliance fight Stations or capture some territory! Star Trek Fleet Command has established itself as one of the biggest 4X games on the mobile Market.
My work on the project
- Main Combat Designer
- Combat balance using advanced EXCEL-based tools with VBA
- Design of new ships, officer abilities and stats
- Working with LiveOps to create new engaging content for the players
- As the main combat designer on STFC, my job is to design the new officers and balance them to keep the meta interesting at all time for the players. Our goal is to create new officers that are exciting, fill up specific zones of gameplay, and are up to the task against the other existing officers in the game.
- I try as much as I can to provide new strategies and to prevent the existence of a single, most powerful officer. Thanks to our Combat Triangle and the different combat situations, we can offer officers that are worth the investment in different parts of the game.
- In the same vein, I design and balance a lot of the ships in the game, keeping an eye on their impact on the meta. For the same reason, I have a hand in most of the features and content related to combat.
